Stampin’ Up! Mountain Adventure for the Happy Stamper Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Adventure stamp set to create fun winter themed card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week (I cheated just a little and adde a blue sky and a yellow light in the window…don’t tell!):

nov-3

I started by stamping the line images from the Mountain Adventure photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper.  I used Soft Sky and Crumb Cake inks with an Aqua Painter to add a little color to the sky and mountains.

I used my Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Garden Green and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers to color the little house and then let the panel dry completely.  I stamped the evergreen trees from the Mountain Adventure stamp set in Garden Green ink around the house and then placed Post-It Notes to mask along the snow line and stamped the trees over the mountain area.

I inked the sentiment from the Mountain Adventure stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green inks and stamped it on the watercolor panel.  To get the two-color sentiment, I placed Post-It Notes to mask off the line images on the stamp and then inked it with Cherry Cobbler ink.  I removed the Post-It Notes and carefully inked the lines with Garden Green ink.

I applied Clear Wink of Stella over the snow areas on the watercolor paper and then adhered the panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I adhered the layered panel to a Garden Green card base and added a Garden Green enamel heart from the Regals Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Mountain Adventure stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  I used the fine-tip of my Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers to color the mittens.  The fine-tip minimizes blending and smearing.  🙂

  1. I love absolutely everything about your card today! It reminds made of a sleepy snow covered (ski) town…Your details really rock and I truly feel as if I’m there, seeing the snow covered mountain and feeling the frosty bite of air, lol 😀 Well done Amy! Brrrr, I’m feeling chilly, hahaha 😛
