Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments CAS Christmas Card

I used the pretty Stampin’ Up! Embellished Ornaments stamp set and This Christmas Specialty DSP from the Annual Catalog to create a clean and simple Christmas card to share today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #200.

I started by coloring the holly image from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Markers.  I stamped the image several times across a panel of This Christmas Specialty DSP and then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.

I punched the end of two strips of This Christmas DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and adhered them to the panel with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of gold twine from the Baker’s Twine Trio pack three times around the panel and tied a bow, then adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the holly image from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set again with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on scrap paper twice and then stamped it across a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I stamped the sentiment over the holly image in Basic Black Archival ink and then cut the sentiment out with a Layering Ovals Framelits die.

I adhered the sentiment oval to a scalloped oval cut from Basic Black card stock with another Layering Ovals Framelits die with SNAIL and then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three gold enamel dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink and the holly branch in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. This is a gorgeous card, Amy! Stamping on the DSP is brilliant. I don’t know why I don’t think about that. It adds such a nice color to the B&W. If I find time to make Christmas cards, I may be CASEING this one! Thanks for sharing it.

  2. I was needing a quick card to make some more cards and this is it! I love the stamping on the background paper and the pop of color with the DSP banners. Very cute. Thank you every day for the dimensions and for sharing the details. You’re the best!

  3. Wish I could purchase a stack of music paper (sheet music is expensive). I went hunting yesterday at Joann’s and Hobby Lobby for some but to no avail. So I have this old church hymnal. I copied the hymn onto Very Vanilla cardstock – perfect for my project! Now I’m going to use your idea of stamping those lovely boughs of holly. Beautiful card, Amy!

  4. Gorgeous Amy! I love the look of music print, it’s such a perfect background for Christmas card. I landed safely and now I’m catching up on blogs 🙂
