I used the Stampin’ Up! Day at the Beach and Suite Sentiments stamp sets to create my card for the Fab Friday color challenge this week.
Here the colors for Fab Friday 106. Hope that you’ll stop by the Fab Friday Challenge Blog and play along too!
My card design was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP074.
I started by stamping the flip-flop image from the Day at the Beach stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink in rows across a panel of watercolor paper. I wet the entire panel with just water from an Aqua Painter and then added a little Peekaboo Peach ink across the background areas.
I used an Aqua Painter and Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral inks to paint the images and the I let the panel dry completely. I adhered the watercolored panel to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched the end of a panel of Peekaboo Peach card stock with the Banner Triple Punch and then stamped the sentiment from the Suite Sentiments stamp set in VersaMark ink on the bottom of it. I sprinkled the image with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it and then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment.
I stamped the image from the Day at the Beach stamp set again in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper and I used a little Bermuda Bay ink and an Aqua Painter to add color. I let the image dry completely, punched it out with a 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and adhered it to a circle cut from Bermuda Bay card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits Die and then to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I pulled a strand of Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine apart and tied about half of it around the top of the banner. I adhered the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front to finish it.
I stamped the flip-flop image from the Day at the Beach stamp set in Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach inks across the bottom of panel of Whisper White card stock on the inside of the card.

Adorable – and perfectly colored!! 😊
Thanks Mary! 🙂
I love the flip flop party on your card!! You did a fantastic color wash to highlight my favorite footwear 😉 I must say, the peek-a-boo peach tag dialed your card up to totally awesome, lol! Bring on the warm sunny days 🙂
Thanks so much Jill! It’s supposed to be crazy warm again in Atlanta this weekend, definitely flip-flop weather! 🙂
This is just stunning! I love, love, love these tropical colors! All the elements come together so perfectly from the white embossed sentiment, to the unravelled baker’s twine, to the one tiny rhinestone… what a totally awesome card. Plus… I wish it was warm enough for flip flops up in MN! We’re lucky enough to be able to ditch coats this weekend, but no where near flip flop weather yet!
Thanks Natalie! Wish that I could send a little of the heat from Atlanta up north for you! Stay warm! 🙂
Too cute, it makes me sad though, I am leaving sunny FL tomorrow and will not be able to wear my flip flops every day for a while. 🙁 I love this card-so fun!!
Thanks Jari! Safe travels back home! 🙂
I would’ve struggled with those colors but you made them work perfectly! Love the center pairs turned down! I don’t know how to do it–great cards every day!
We’re gonna get some of that warm weather Sunday too so I have my flip flops ready!
Thanks Susan! Enjoy the warm weather and sunshine!! 🙂
Oh Awesome. This card is so cute!! I just love the flip flops!!!

Totally fab…..and definitely fun!
Thanks Linda! 🙂
