My Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived from Stampin’ Up! late last week and I couldn’t wait to dig in!! I love it! The name of the June kit is One In a Melon and it’s just perfect for summer!
The kit was originally designed to create 6 note cards and 4 gift bags. I didn’t really have a use for the gift bags, so I created an alternative card with the gift bag items instead!
The kit came with two ink spots, a cute stamp set, preprinted watermelon gift bags, the cutest watermelon tissue paper, Melon Mambo Baker’s Twine, six preprinted card bases, six envelopes, precut tags and stickers, clothespins and adhesives to put everything together.
I created the note cards almost as instructed…I just switched the sentiment to one from the Dare to Dream host exclusive photopolymer stamp set since I am always in need of thank you cards!
This is the card that I created as the alternative to the bags. I simply cut the front off each of the bags (cut it to 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″), adhered them to an Emerald Envy card stock panel and then to a Melon Mambo card base. I folded up a 4″ x 4″ piece of the tissue paper and stapled it to the back of the precut tag then stamped the circle tag with the One in a Melon and Dare to Dream stamp sets. I adhered the layers to the card front with Glue Dots and Dimensionals.
I stamped the watermelon images on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card to finish it. I’m so happy with this cute little card! 🙂

I love your projects Amy! I’ve been stalking my mailbox and was hoping my kit would come on Saturday but it didn’t 🙁 Hoping today is the day! This month’s kit is so cheery and summery, I can’t wait to play 🙂 I think the exclusive stamp sets that are included are my favorite part – the last couple have been larger than in the past, and lots of fun bits and pieces are included.
