I used the Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines stamp set and some of the beautiful Merry Little Christmas DSP from the upcoming 2017 Holiday catalog to create my card to share today.
My card design was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP098.
I started by adhering a panel from the Merry Little Christmas DSP to a Basic Black card stock panel with SNAIL. I cut two smaller panels from the DSP and punched the ends with the Banner Triple Punch.
I cut another panel from Basic Black card stock and I punched the end with the Banner Triple Punch. I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set in VersaMark ink on the Basic Black banner, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.
I adhered all three banners to the card front with SNAIL, then added one of the Touches of Nature Elements with rolled up Glue Dots. I wrapped a strand of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the panel, tied a bow and then adhered the layered panel to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink and then added the pine branches in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

Thanks Julie, it’s really pretty paper! 🙂
Oh my goodness, I’m sorry I’m late, I’ve had a few crazy days…Lol, nothing of course that you’d know about, hahaha! Ya right, same old stuff 👌😉
I love this card because all the DSPs play off each other so beautifully!! The cool pines with the rugged black & old olive manly style gingham 😊 So lovely together with a few other additions!!!
Thanks Jill! That paper is so pretty, can’t wait to use it more! And no worries…I certainly understand. 😉
Oh Amy, I love this! I illustrator the sketches at Global Design Project, I used to be on the design team but stepped down, I loose track of when my sketches are being used but when I remember I pop over to see how they have been used. I have seen a hand full of cards using this sketch but yours is my favourite. I just adore the paper you have used the papers.
Thanks so much Teneale!! That made my day. 🙂
