I used the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Christmas and Quilt Builder Framelits Dies to create two quick holiday cards to share with you today.
For the green and red card, I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set (available Sept 1) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Quilted Christmas 6×6 DSP (available Sept 1), sprinkled it with White Stampin Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then I added a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the panel. I adhered the panel to a Garden Green card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a scalloped square with the largest Layering Squares Framelits die from Garden Green card stock, then I cut the quilted pieces from Real Red and Whisper White card stocks with the Quilt Builder Framelits dies (available Sept 1). I adhered the die cut pieces to the scalloped square with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered the square to the card DSP panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the red, white and gold card, I started by stamping the Watercolor Christmas stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkling it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing it. Then I ran the panel through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Real Red card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Gold 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the panel and tied a small knot. I adhered the layered panel to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I cut a panel of Gold Foil Sheets with the same scalloped square die and then cut panels of Real Red Whisper White card stocks with the Quilt Builder Framelits dies. I adhered the pieces together with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the embossed panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered an enamel star from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack and the Regals Enamel Shapes pack to each card front to finish it.
I stamped the sentiment and tree images from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set in Real Red and Garden Green inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

Beautiful cards Amy! Can’t wait for my goodies to arrive to try these quilted cards. Love your color choices too. How about a blue and silver one, green and gold, black and old olive, etc. etc. You could do a whole set with each one different colors!
Thanks Julie! You most certainly could use any combination of colors to create quilted cards! I started with the red, green and white card and then realized that I had a bunch of usable “leftover” pieces so I used them on the red, white and gold card! 🙂
Really pretty, Amy! I am now re-thinking the quilted items. But I do love the Watercolor Christmas! Both cards are really nice!
Thanks Jari! I was on the fence a bit about the quilted items too…but I love them! 🙂
Very pretty – now I’m wishing I’d bought Watercolor Christmas…. oh well – it’ll be 1 Oct before you know it! 🙂
You definitely need this stamp set…Oct 1 isn’t so far away. 😉
I love these patchwork designs!
Thanks Melanie! It’s a great die set! 🙂
Very cute! Let me know when you get the new catalog! Linda

Amy, Will you be doing a Christmas paper and ribbon/embellishment share this year? If so, when will you announce it? Thank you, Beth
Yes I will! I’m planning to have it posted by Thursday. Thanks for checking! 🙂
The cards are beautiful. I love the sentiments and the heat embossing is awesome.
Thanks so much Maggie! 🙂
Wow Amy, these quilted star or flower (??) Blocks turned out so beautifully 😉 You did a fabulous job creating and now I’m going to have to look at this set up….Amy you show me what can be done and I love it – thank you 👍😁
