I used the Stampin’ Up! Season Like Christmas stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players #PP372.

And the Christmas theme for my card was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP115.

I started by adhering a panel from the Merry Little Christmas DSP pack to a Basic Black card stock panel with SNAIL.  Then I added another strip of the Merry Little Christmas DSP over the panel, adhering it with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine around the panel three times, tied a bow, then adhered the panel to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the tree images from the Season Like Christmas photopolymer stamp set in Old Olive ink twice full strength and three additional times without reinking across a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I inked the tree trunk image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the tree images.  Three if the trunks were stamped without reinking and two were stamped after stamping off only once.  I stamped the ornament image over one of the trees in Cherry Cobbler ink, then cut the images out with the largest Ovals Framelits Die.

I cut a second oval with the same die from Basic Black card stock and adhered it to the back of the stamped die cut with SNAIL so that they were slightly offset.  I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Season Like Christmas stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stick and cut it out with the smallest Stitched Shapes Framelits oval die.

I adhered the sentiment die cut with SNAIL to an oval cut from Basic Black card stock with the smallest oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I adhered the layered sentiment die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and SNAIL and then added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment and tree images from the Season Like Christmas stamp set in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Tuxedo Black Memento inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.
