Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Christmas for Fab Friday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Barn Door stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog and the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set to create my card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free for All Party.  This stamp set really isn’t “Christmasy” at all, but I made it Christmas with the colors and sentiment.  🙂

Here is the Fab Friday 127 Badge, stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

The design for my card was inspired by Global Design Project #GDP116.

I started by adhering a panel from the Be Merry DSP pack to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I covered the bottom line of the sentiment from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set with a Post It Note and inked the top in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I removed the Post It Note and colored the second line of the sentiment with a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker and then stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a panel of Early Espresso card stock with one of the Sliding Door Framelits Dies (available Jan 3), snipped the end off to fit on the Whisper White card stock panel and then adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a panel of Garden Green card stock and then to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the door image from the Barn Door stamp set(available Jan 3) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock and the wreath images in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks on Whisper White card stock.  I cut them out with the Sliding Door Framelits Dies and adhered the wreath together with Glue Dots and then to the barn door with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut the handle and two sliders from Early Espresso card stock with the Sliding Door Framelits Dies and adhered them to the barn door with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the barn door to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the holly leaves and berries from the Hang Your Stocking photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the images out with the Christmas Stockings Thinlits Dies and adhered them with Glue Dots next to the sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and the holly images from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.
