Stampin’ Up! Hedgehugs Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hedgehugs stamp set from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.

The colors for my card were inspired by Global Design Project #GDP117.

I started by stamping the tree stump and mushrooms images from the Hedgehugs stamp set (available Jan 3) in Crumb Cake ink on the front of a Crumb Cake card base.  Then I stamped the two hedgehog images from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  It’s a little hard to see in the photos, but I colored around the white parts of the hedgehogs with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker and then used the Color Lifter to blend the lines a little.

I colored the flower that the hedgehog is holding with a Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Real Red card stock and then to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL and then tied a strand of Linen Thread around it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then carefully inked the flower image in Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks and stamped it next to the sentiment.  I punched the sentiment out with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a circle cut from Real Red card stock with a Layering Circles Framelits Die.  I adhered the sentiment circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to finish it.

I stamped the image from the Hedgehugs stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.  Can you tell that I reinked my Crumb Cake ink pad before stamping this one?  Should have done that before making the card front!  🙂

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this project at the very bottom of this blog post.
