Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Day for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Day stamp set to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for the Stamp Ink Paper #134 Challenge.  Stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

The design for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 368.

I started by adhering a panel from the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP pack to the front of a Powder Pink card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue  Then I embossed the side of a panel of Powder Pink card stock with one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders.  I stamped the sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set in Berry Burst ink on the other side of the Powder Pink card stock panel.

I punched two of the corners on the Powder Pink card stock panel with the rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board and then adhered the Powder Pink panel to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock that had also been punched with the rounder punch on the Envelope Punch Board with SNAIL.  I used the fine point on a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker to color the little flower next to the sentiment and then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I used an Aqua Painter to add a little Powder Pink, Calypso Coral and Berry Burst ink to the image.  I went back in after the image dried and added a little more Calypso Coral ink with a Blender Pen around the edges of the butterfly.

I cut the butterfly image out with Paper Snips and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added three Pearl Basic Jewels to the card front to finish it.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day stamp set in Powder Pink ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. No, I can’t keep ordering items I don’t have just because of your beautiful card. Well, yes, I guess I can when 2/16 rolls around 🙂 I promised myself I wouldn’t buy any more DSP until I used up what I have…ha!…like that’s ever gonna happen. I don’t mind breaking promises I make to myself 🙂

  2. This card is simply stunning! The butterfly is absolute perfection and I love how you used the embossed piece. Gorgeous i say!!!
