Stampin’ Up! CAS Picture Perfect Birthday for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect Birthday and Playful Backgrounds stamp sets to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card also works for the Inspire.Create.Challenges #015.

I started by inking the solid dot image from the Playful Backgrounds photopolymer stamp set in Marina Mist ink, stamping it on scrap paper and then stamping it across a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I inked the lined circle image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Old Olive ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the Marina Mist images.

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Old Olive card stock with SNAIL and then to a Marina Mist card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Marina Mist card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits die and then adhered it with SNAIL to a square cut from Old Olive card stock with a Layering Squares Framelits Die.  I adhered the layered squares to the card front with SNAIL and then pulled a strand of Linen Thread through a True Gentleman Button and tied a bow.  I adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set in Marina Mist ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the dot images from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Marina Mist and Old Olive inks to finish the inside of the card.

I made a second version of this card with the sentiment panel turned and “full-strength” images on the background and I like the way that both of them turned out!

  1. Love your card Amy. I am going to have to go take a look at my stamp set. I do not remember using it. I know bad, bad, I must use all the stamp sets I buy. Thanks for making me aware of it.
