I used the Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2018-19 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper theme challenge this week.  We’re celebrating Dads & Grads…I went with a congratulations card for my nephew who will be graduating from college this month!

The design for my card was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 383.

I started by embossing a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock (available June 1) with the Seaside Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with SNAIL and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I punched a strip of Picture Perfect Party DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered it to the embossed panel with SNAIL.

I adhered a panel from the Tutti-Frutti DSP Stack (retiring May 31) to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied a knot.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the water and sun images from the Lilypad Lake stamp set (available June 1) in Coastal Cabana ink (available June 1) and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I color the sun with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers (available mid-May) and then cut the panel with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die.

I stamped the boat images from the Lilypad Lake stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then colored them with the Light Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Pool Party and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.  I added a little Real Red ink to the stripes with the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker and then cut the images out with the coordinating Lakeside Framelits Dies (available June 1).  I adhered the images with Mini Glue Dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Lilypad Lake stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Lakeside Framelits Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to Lakeside Framelits die cut from Bermuda Bay card stock with SNAIL and then to the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiments from the Beautiful You and Itty Bitty Greetings (available June 1) stamp sets in Bermuda bay ink and the boat image from the Lilypad Lake stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.
