Stampin’ Up! Pleasant Pheasants for the Happy Inking Thursday and Happy Stampers Combined Blog Hop

We’re joining forces with Sandi MacIver’s Happy Stampers for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop again this week!  I pulled out the Stampin’ Up! Pleasant Pheasants stamp set from the upcoming 2018 Holiday Catalog to create my project.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack to a Soft Suede card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a bow.  I stamped the image from the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set (available Sept 5) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Thick Very Vanilla card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Mango Melody (available Sept 5), Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze (available Sept 5), Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends as well as the Bronze and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock panel lightly with Soft Suede ink and then adhered the stamped panel with SNAIL to a panel of Old Olive card stock that I’d embossed with two of the dies from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Cajun Craze card stock, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the dies from Storybook Scene Thinlits Dies and I adhered it with SNAIL to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Old Olive ink and the bucket image from the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set in Soft Suede ink (stamped off once) on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.  I added a strip of Wood Textures DSP with SNAIL to finish the panel.

  1. GREAT card, Amy. Love those pheasants, and you colored them so very well! Funny how many of us used Soft Suede in one way or another. And your choice of Wood Textures DSP with the pheasants is wonderful.
