Stampin’ Up! Alpine Adventure Buffalo Check Winter Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Alpine Adventure stamp set bundle and the Buffalo Check stamp set to create a fun winter card to share with you today.  The Buffalo Check background turned plaid was inspired by Mary’s video over at stamps-n-lingers.com.

My card design was inspired by Sketch Saturday #533.  I picked sketch #531 for my card.

I started by stamping the image from the Buffalo Check stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Gray Granite card stock.  Then I took my Soft Suede and Old Olive Dark Stampin’ Blends and I drew in “plaid” lines on the Gray Granite panel with a ruler.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock with SNAIL and then to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Alpine Adventure photopolymer stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack.  I inked the snowflake image from the Alpine Adventure stamp set in Gray Granite ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it randomly over the the DSP panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock and then Old Olive card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine around the panel and tied a knot and then adhered the layered panels to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut the sled from Wood Texture DSP and bow from Cherry Cobbler card stock with the Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies.  I stamped the wreath images from the Alpine Adventure stamp set in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler inks on a panel of Wood Textures DSP, cut it out with the coordinating Alpine Sports Thinlits Die and then adhered everything to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I colored a Glitter Enamel Dot with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Marker and then adhered it to the card front to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment, snowflakes and sled images from the Alpine Adventure stamp set in Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite and Soft Suede inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, used to create this card at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Great card! I love your plaid color combo:-). And how very clever to lean the sled against the sentiment (inside) – too cute! Thank you for the inspiration!
