Stampin’ Up! Birthday Cheer for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop

I was so honored when Kylie Bertucci asked me to be a guest for the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop this week!  Kylie’s got an awesome team of talented stampers and they’re CASEing my projects today.  So excited to see what they create!  I used the new Birthday Cheer stamp set from the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog and some of the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP from the upcoming 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog to create my card.

I love clean and simple cards, so I chose to case one of my favorite CAS fall cards.  You can see the original blog post about it here.

I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack to a Soft Suede card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I punched the end of wide strip of Botanical Butterfly DSP (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 3) with the Banner Triple Punch and I trimmed off the excess (outside the punch area).  I adhered the banner to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Cheer cling stamp set (available Jan 3) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Balmy Blue card stock, sprinkled it with Grapefruit Grove Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the In Color 2018-2020 In Color Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I cut leaves and branches from Lemon Lime Twist and Grapefruit Grove card stocks with dies from the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies.  I tucked the die cuts under the sentiment and adhered them with Glue Dots.  I adhered two of the Butterfly Elements (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 3) with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then added three of the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Cheer stamp set in Balmy Blue ink and the butterflies from the Beauty Abounds cling stamp set (available Jan 3) in Grapefruit Grove and Lemon Lime Twist inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. How did I miss this card? I found it through Kylie’s hop! So glad I did…it’s wonderful. Now, I thought I didn’t want the DSP but you’ve got me rethinking…no surprise there, eh?

    • It posted yesterday in the evening…so not my normal blog post time. 🙂 That DSP is my very favorite thing from the Sale-a-bration catalog!!!
