Stampin’ Up! Friend Like You CAS Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Friend Like You stamp set  to create a quick card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making one of these cards on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #332.

I started by stamping the wave image from the Friend Like You photopolymer stamp set in Pool Party ink four times across the bottom of a Pool Party card base.  I adhered a panel of Dinoraur DSP to a panel of Old Olive DSP and then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment and palm tree images from the Friend Like You stamp set in Pretty Peacock, Old Olive and Mango Melody inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut them out with a Stitched Shapes Die.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with SNAIL to a circle cut from Pretty Peacock card stock with a Layering Circles Die and then adhered the layered circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored one of the small Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker before adhering it to the card front to finish it.

I stamped the waves and palm tree images from the Friend Like You stamp set in Pool Party, Mango Melody and Old Olive inks on a Whisper White card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.

If you’re interested in seeing my video tutorial for this card, you can watch it on YouTube here (if you’re viewing this blog post by email, click here to go over to my blog post to see the video link):

  1. Pretty colors and great design. I must not be paying attention to details in the catalog because the last two days you have used two sets I don’t even remember seeing. I guess I better get my fine tooth comb out 🙂
