Stampin’ Up! Royal Peacock for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Royal Peacock stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel from the Noble Peacock Specialty DSP to the front of a Blueberry Bushel card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Whisper White card stock with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and I adhered the die cut to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the image from the Royal Peacock photopolymer stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the feather image from the Royal Peacock stamp set in Old Olive ink over it.  I colored the body of the peacock with a Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Marker and then cut it out with the coordinating Detailed Peacock Dies.  I adhered the die cut image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Nobel Peacock Foil Sheets with the branch dies from the Detailed Peacock Dies, snipped the long stems and then adhered the die cuts with Glue Dots under the die cut bird.  I stamped the sentiment from the Royal Peacock stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added three Nobel Peacock Rhinestones to the card front to finish it.

I stamped the peacock and feathers images from the Royal Peacock stamp set in Blueberry Bushel and Old Olive inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Well, I was going to say ‘”Stunning!” but everyone else seems to have used that already. So, to be different, I had to pull out my Thesaurus to get a really great word for this beautiful card. How about Sensational!? Really, it is truly a beautiful card. There are no words.
