Stampin’ Up! This Birthday Piggy Card for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! This Birthday Piggy stamp set and the Playful Piggy Dies (available beginning September 1!) to create a fun birthday card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Stampin' Up! This Birthday Piggy Card

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC290.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

I started by adhering a panel of Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP to a panel of Fresh Freesia card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered a small strip of Butterfly Kisses DSP to the panel with Stampin’ Seal and then adhered the layered panel to the front of a Fresh Freesia card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a wider panel of Butterfly Kisses DSP to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and then stamped the sentiment from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I stamped the pig image from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I cut the pig image out with the coordinating die from the Playful Piggy Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies around the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set in Fresh Freesia ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut a panel of Parakeet Party card stock with one of the Playful Piggy Dies.  I adhered the die cut strip to the bottom of the Basic White card stock panel and then added a strip of Butterfly Kisses DSP over it to finish the inside of the card.
