I created a card with the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Thistle stamp set bundle to create to share with you today.  I also did a video tutorial for this card and you can see it on YouTube here.

My card design was inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC192.  I went straight across the center and from upper left to lower right as well as lower left to upper right.

I started by adhering a panel of Dainty Flowers DSP ($50 level Sale-a-bration item) to the front of an Old Olive card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut panels of Old Olive card stock, Dainty Flowers DSP, white vellum and Fine Shimmer 12″ x 12″ Paper Pack paper with the two oval dies from the Framed Florets Dies.  I adhered the Old Olive oval to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the DSP and vellum ovals together and then to the back of the shimmer paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the thistle images from the Beautiful Thistle stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I colored the images with Light and Dark Old Olive and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut them with the coordinating Beautiful Thistle Dies.  I adhered the die cuts to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  I tied a small bow from Linen Thread and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Thistle stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Fresh Freesia card stock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the bow.  I added two Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the thistle image from the Beautiful Thistle stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Fresh Freesia and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.
