Stampin’ Up! Two-Tone Flora Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Two-Tone Flora stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Birthday Card

Here are the colors that we’re using today:

I started by adhering a panel of Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ DSP (retiring May 1) to the front of a Calypso Coral card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Orchid Oasis ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut it out with one of the Something Fancy Dies.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the flower and leaf images in Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Orchid Oasis and Mint Macaron (on sale, retiring May 1) inks from the Two-Tone Flora photopolmer stamp set on a panel of Basic White card stock panel.  The Calypso Coral and Orchid Oasis solid images were stamped on scrap paper once before stamping them over the lined images.  I cut the floral images out with the coordinating Two-Tone Flora Dies.

I adhered the die cut floral images with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots to the card front and then added three Iridescent Pastel Gems to the card front to finish it.

I adhered a strip of Fancy Flora DSP to a panel of Basic White card and then stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Calypso Coral ink to finish the inside of the card stock.
