I used the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves stamp set bundle from the upcoming September-December 2023 Mini Catalog to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:
I started by adhering a strip of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP (Online Exclusive item) to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with Stampin’ Seal. Then I stamped the leaf images from the Autumn Leaves photopolymer stamp set (available September 6) in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Basic White card stock. Then I inked the dot image from the Colors & Contour photopolymer stamp set with Crumb Cake ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the Basic White panel.
I embossed the stamped panel with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and then used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the panel. I cut a strip of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper with the scalloped die from the Carousel Horses Dies and then adhered the die cut strip to the back of the stamped panel with Stampin’ Seal. I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow and then adhered the stamped panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics Embossing Powders and then heat embossed it. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Autumn Leaves Dies (available September 6) and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. I cut another panel of Distressed Gold Paper with two of the leaf dies from the Autumn Leaves Dies and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then added three sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack to finish the card front.
I stamped the leaf images from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

Amy, Amy. What can I say that hasn’t been said? Your card is beautiful and I had marked that stamp set for preorder, even though I missed the fact that it was your design. I love it, but you know me and leaves. I think I have ordered every set SU has made that has leaves in it. Still, yours is at the top of the list. Congrats on your achievement. I don’t know how I missed that fact.
Thanks so much Julie! 🙂
