Today I’m sharing another sneak peek at some of the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog items.  I pulled out the Festive Flurry stamp set and Framelits Dies, which are available in a bundle for 15% off starting on August 1!  I love this set, I think that I could use it every day!!

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players #155.  To see another fabulous holiday card from this sketch, check out Sandi MacIver’s post this morning.  She is my upline and she makes the most amazing cards!

I started by embossing the Brushed Gold background panel with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  I adhered the panel to a Cherry Cobbler panel that I’d embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then to a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.  To emboss the edges of the card stock, I simply slid the edges of the card stock slowly across my VersaMark Ink Pad, sprinkled them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  So simple!

Then I cut a circle from Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Circles Collection Framelits die, embossed the edge with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the two snowflake images from the Festive Flurry stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Brushed Gold panel, sprinkled them with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed them and cut them out with the Festive Flurry Framelits dies.  I stamped the snowflake image in VersaMark ink on a Cherry Cobbler panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed it and cut it out with the Festive Flurry Framelits die as well.  Then I layered the snowflakes, adhering them with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Brushed Gold strip, sprinkled it with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered it with SNAIL to Cherry Cobbler strip…yep, embossed those edges with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder too!  I finished the sentiment by cutting the banner end with my Hexagon Punch, adhering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front, then adding two Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots.

To finish the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set and the snowflake image in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel.  And I couldn’t help myself, I embossed the edges of that panel with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder too!!
