Stampin’ Up! Wondrous Wreath Hello Spring & New Sale-A-Bration Items Coming Soon!!

I used the Wondrous Wreath and Crazy About You stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  I was so happy to see that the Wondrous Wreath bundle carried over from the Holiday Catalog into the Occasions Catalog!!  🙂

Wondrous Wreath - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #174.  The idea for my card was also inspired by by this beautiful card that Jennifer Brum created with this sketch.

Screen Shot 2015-02-22 at 3.05.47 PMI started by embossing a panel of So Saffron card stock with the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Rose Red card stock with SNAIL, then to a Wild Wasabi card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Wondrous Wreath 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the “Happy” and “Spring” sentiments from the Crazy About You stamp set to my Clear-Mount Block (I have the stamp set in photopolymer, so that was easy to do!) and I stamped the sentiment several times across a strip of Whisper White card stock in So Saffron, Rose Red and Wild Wasabi inks.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Rose Red card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.

Wondrous Wreath 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the full wreath image from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set in Wild Wasabi ink, then I stamped the partial wreath image in Old Olive ink over the top.  I cut the wreath out with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a bow with the die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies from Rose Red card stock and I adhered it to the wreath with a rolled up Glue Dot.

I punched flowers from So Saffron, Rose Red and Perfect Plum card stock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch and I adhered them to the card front with rolled up Glue Dots.  I added a Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of each flower to finish the card front.

Crazy About You - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Crazy About You stamp set in Rose Red ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card and I adhered a 1/4″ Circle Punch from So Saffron card stock to the center.  I punched a Post It Note with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, covered the stamped flower image and then stamped the leaf images in Wild Wasabi ink over the flower on the inside of the card.

  1. Good Morning, I just wanted to tell you that I so enjoy getting these emails with your cards. I print each and every one and have a file. I have made most of them already. Love them all! Plus your directions are great, especially to a newbie like me. Thank you Amy, Faith Ralph

  2. You must be ready for a new Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Amy, because you seem to be wearing this one out! How amazing to have an item that can be used in so many ways! I just love this wreath, and to see it in spring colors is wonderful! SU did well when they carried it over. Your “DP” looks wonderful…so professional! Great idea to pair up stamps on the same block! Thank you for inspiring us in so many ways~

    • Thanks so much Roberta! I keep wondering when someone is going to come to my house to have an intervention with me and that little flower punch…I can’t stop myself from using it!! 😉

  3. Pretty Card! Thanks for showing us that that set is not just for Christmas. I really like the way you did that diagonal piece with Happy Spring.

  4. Wow! I agree with everyone above, gorgeous card Amy! 🙂 Love the colors you chose for today’s card, they are so very happy and very Spring-y 😉

Thanks for the update about the new SAB items. Oh my, they are beautiful!

  5. I am torn between the Nature’s Perfection stamp set and the accessory pack. Always a sucker for nature and flowers but then they always look between with accessories. Hard choice.

  6. My favorite new S-A-B item is the Nature’s Perfection stamps… Love the new butterfly that will work with the butterfly punch! The stacked embellishments look darling. Love your creativity, Amy! Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
