Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Ride

I used the cool new Beautiful Ride stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.

Beautiful Ride - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 219.  I realized that I reversed the two background panels after I had my card all finished…oops!  🙂

The colors for my card were inspired by Pals Paper Arts PPA283.

And the little puppy in the window was inspired by TGIF Challenge #38.

I started by adhering panels from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Beautiful Ride 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the images from the Beautiful Ride photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of watercolor paper, sprinkled them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed the images.

Beautiful Ride 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I painted the images with my Aqua Painter and Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake and Tuxedo Black Memento inks.  I let the image dry completely, then adhered it to a panel of Basic Black card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Beautiful Ride 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I pulled a strand of the Mint Macaron twine from the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack through a Basic Black button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack, tied a bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Beautiful Ride 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip from the It’s My Party DSP Stack to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Brings back memories of my youth… lots of days spent at the Florida beaches with my blue VW bug. Such a cute card – love the dog!

  2. True story – I tried to use this car on this sketch and couldn’t make it work…..just looked like the car was running into a wall……but you reversed the panels and made it work perfectly! I love it!

  3. I love this! I have been wanting to use this stamp set ever since I bought it and have not had time-haven’t made a card in a month-ugh! Your card is adorable and well done with the Aqua Painter.

  4. What a fun card, Amy! Love how you’ve colored your little bug, and Linda’s right, the panels reversed probably would have looked like a car wreck in the making! Thanks for playing along with my sketch at FMS this week!

  5. What a super fun card Amy! You really nailed all three challenges – how did you do that?! 🙂 Love the dog image, wish it came with a full body and she could ride on the top of the surfboard too, lol!

  6. Life is definitely a beautiful ride in a Melon Mambo bug! 🙂 Very Cute card, Amy! …and three challenges in one card! (bowing down) 🙂

  7. Beautiful card, Amy! Great way to incorporate all three challenges. You are soooo good. Thank you so much for playing along with my color challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts – I’m so glad you did.
