Stampin’ Up! Star of Light Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Star of Light stamp set from the upcoming 2016 Holiday Catalog to create my clean and simple holiday card to share today.

Star of Light - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #185.

The shiny theme for my card was inspired by Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 371.

Screen Shot 2016-08-14 at 3.33.21 PM

I started by stamping the star swirl image from the Star of Light photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) in Bermuda Bay ink on a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Star of Light stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the same panel, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

Star of Light 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the Bermuda Bay stamped panel to the left side of a panel from the Copper Foil Sheets (available Sept 1) with SNAIL.  I cut a thin strip of Bermuda Bay card stock and adhered the copper Washi Tape from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape to the strip of card stock.  I adhered the Washi Tape covered card stock to the right side of the Copper Foil panel with SNAIL.  I adhered a thin strip of Pool Party card stock with SNAIL to the area between the Bermuda Bay and Washi Tape panels.

Star of Light 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the small star image from the Star of Light stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Copper Foil Sheets.  I sprinkled the image with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I cut the image out with the matching Starlight Thinlits Die (available in a bundle with the Star of Light stamp set for 10% off!) and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Star of Light 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the large star image from the Star of Light stamp set in Pool Party ink and the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Star of Light 5 - Stamp With Amy K

Here is a little peek at the rest of the stamps and dies in this bundle.  I can’t wait to use it more!!  Those star die cuts are beautiful.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, for this project at the very bottom of this post.

  8. Beautiful card Amy! Just image, a Christmas card with NO, Christmas colors. But, who needs them with a beautiful like this? I really, really like this card I didn’t think about using washi tape on it. I was scratching my head wonder, how did you get that strip down the side of the card. I honestly thought you embossed it! That would have been a lot of work! Thank you for sharing!
