Stampin’ Up! Layering Love for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Layering Love stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a sketch challenge and this is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

The hearts on my card and the colors were inspired by The Card Concept 66.  I think my card fits into the clean and layered category.

I started by adhering a panel from the Sending Love DSP Stack to a panel of Real Red card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered two strips of paper from a different sheet in the Sending Love DSP Stack with SNAIL over the panel and then tied a strand of Blushing Bride Solid Baker’s Twine around the layered panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Layering Love stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Real Red card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with the matching Sweet & Sassy Framelits Die and adhered it with SNAIL to a Sweet & Sassy Framelits die cut from Blushing Bride card stock.

I adhered the layered heart to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three random Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  I adhered the panel to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card front.

I adhered another strip of Sending Love DSP to a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

You can see a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Such a wonderful card, with all the hearts 🙂 I like that you added the twine to the sketch, it ties in the hearts and the color more. And got to have that bling 😉 Awesome Amy!

  2. oh wow, this sketch is perfect for your pretty valentines card, I love all the heart layers, absolutely perfect.

  3. I love this sketch and also your card! I pinned the sketch for the future. I love card sketches and make most of my cards using a sketch as inspiration. It really gets my mojo flowing.
