Stampin’ Up! Merry Cafe for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Merry Cafe stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

My card also works for Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC019.  I went right across the top.

I started by adhering a panel from the Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP to a Real Red card base with SNAIL.  Then I embossed a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Holly Embossing Folder and then adhered it to a panel of Lemon Lime Twist card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon around the panel and tied a bow, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I applied a bit of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to the back of a panel of Champagne Foil Sheets and then cut it with one of the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies.  I used the Adhesive Sheets to adhere the die cut to the Whisper White card stock panel.  I stamped the lid image from the Merry Cafe photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the lid and wrap (with no stamping on it) from the Whisper White card stock panel with the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies and then stamped the sentiment and holly images from the Merry Cafe stamp set in Garden Green, Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist inks on the die cut wrap.

I cut a cup and a tag from the Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP with two of the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.  I stamped the little heart from the Coffee Cafe stamp set in Real Red ink on the tag die cut and then adhered a small strand of Linen Thread to the back of the tag and the die cut lid with Glue Dots.  I cut the little heart “stir stick” with one of the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies from Real Red card stock and I adhered it to the back of the lid with a Glue Dot as well.  I adhered the coffee cup die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and then adhered the tag with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  I adhered the wrap over the coffee cup with SNAIL to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and holly images from the Merry Cafe stamp set in Real Red and Garden Green inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then added a strip of Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP across the bottom on the inside of the card.

  1. cute and very creative, Amy! I had not wanted this stamp set in the beginning, but you (and others) have made such cute cards with it, I may have to break down and add it to my wish list! I don’t care if it is coffee (preferred), hot chocolate, chai tea or hot apple cider. Presented this way it would be a wonderful treat.

  2. darling card Amy, love the tic tac toe challenge too, What fun that is! Love the fresh feel of your card and that coffee cup is adorable
