Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poinsettia CAS Christmas Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set bundle to create a clean and simple Christmas Card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #293.

I started by adhering a panel from the All is Bright DSP to a Garden Green card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Whisper White card stock twice with the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits Die.  I embossed the panel with the Subtle Embossing Folder and then adhered it with SNAIL to a Real Red card stock panel.  I adhered the layered panel to the DSP panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered the sentiment panel to a panel of Real Red card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the largest flower image from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I used my Real Red and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Markers to color the flower image.

I cut the flower out with the coordinating Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits Die and then snipped the branches from the two sides.  I adhered the flower to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a single Red Rhinestone Jewel next to the flower die cut to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and holly branch images from the Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set in Garden Green and Tuxedo Black Memento inks on a Whisper White card stock panel.  I used Dark Old Olive and Dark Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the holly leaves and Light and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends to color the berries to finish the inside of the card.

I liked the sketch so much that I pulled out the Warm Hearted host exclusive stamp set and the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies and the Nature’s Poem DSP to create a fall thank you card too!

  1. Amy, I must be blind today! I couldn’t find any information other than the picture of what you used for your Thanks card.? IK love this stamp set and had to get it! I fell in love with your card, so I’m going to CASE it! I don’t have everything to make yours’s, but wanted to do something a little different. I love the colors you chose. Because my screen is NOT SU! color coronated, I can’t tell what colors you used! LOL! I can’t spell either! What’s a woman to do? Why, she goes stamping! Catch you later, TFS!

    • I used Cajun Craze card stock for the card base and background layers. I used Nature’s Poem DSP for the leafy patterned background (that is not stamped, it’s DSP) and the sentiment panel. I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze and the die cut leaves are Cajun Craze and Grapefruit Grove. Hope that helps! 🙂
