I was so happy to see some designer paper in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog with more traditional nautical colors and designs. The Maritime DSP has some prints that are more fun with the little fish and octopus but some that will work great for masculine cards too. I used a little of the Maritime DSP and The Open Sea stamp set to create my card to share today.
My Paper Pumpkin kit for May arrived on Friday so I tore right in and put the kit together. This time the kit made some cool Father’s Day cards and masculine birthday cards.
Okay, so once again I didn’t plan this very well…who (besides me) posts a Happy Father’s Day card on Mother’s Day??? I was so excited to show of my new goodies from Stampin’ Up! that I didn’t even pay attention to the fact that I’d be posting this card on the Mother’s Day. Oops!! Oh well, I hope that you like this one anyway. 🙂

Today I’m sharing a Father’s Day card that I made with the By the Tide stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I can’t believe that Father’s Day is this weekend…this big move has got my days all mixed up! Anyway, I used the new Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar card stock and a little Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder to create this card.
For my card today, I used the Stampin’ Up! Countryside and Best Dad Ever stamp sets. Both of these sets are retiring on June 3 and the Parkers Pattern DSP that I used for the background also goes away on May 31. I love this paper for masculine cards and both of these stamp sets make great manly cards too! My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 294 Sketch.
Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called The Open Sea. I’m also giving you another sneak peek at some new colors…Smoky Slate and Baked Brown Sugar. I distressed and sponged everything on this card! And I had to take a deep breath before I allowed myself to tear a chunk of card stock off the top, I’m usually far to obsessed with getting things exactly right to just rip a piece off….but I’m learning to let go. 🙂
